Why multiple inheritance is not supported in c#??

You don't really need it. If you do, you can acheive it via interfaces and multiple levels. I've been building software for past 23 years and it is rarely used. Building software is much simpler that some make it to be.

C# does not support multiple inheritance , because they reasoned that adding multiple inheritance added too much complexity to C# while providing too little benefit. In C#, the classes are only allowed to inherit from a single parent class, which is called single inheritance .

if you can use needle then why will you use sword , if something can serve the pupose easily in c# , i mean to say when you already have Interfaces for this , then what is the need of multiple inheritence? And the best answer is, because the microsoft developers decided not to implement this concept in c# and not make it complicated otherwise god knows.

Hi, C# does not support multiple inheritance in order to avoid diamond problem. For Example:- public class A { public void Method1(){ Console.WriteLine( "Hello" ); } } public class B { public void Method1(){ Console.WriteLine( "World" ); } } //in case if multiple inheritance was supported public class C: A, B { } public static void Main(){ C objC = new C(); objC.Method1(); // an ambiguity whether to refer class A/ class B implementation } In order to avoid this ambiguity , C# came up with the concept of interface.
