I am working on a Python script and need to monitor one function using another function. However I have been unable to find any guidance on how to properly implement this feature and have not come across any libraries that offer similar functionality.

You can use decorators in Python to monitor the execution of a function using another function. A decorator is a function that takes another function and extends the behavior of the latter function without explicitly modifying it. You can define a decorator function that takes a function as its argument and returns a wrapper function that executes the original function while monitoring its performance. It defines a new function wrapper that takes any number of positional and keyword arguments using *args and **kwargs  respectively. wrapper measures the time taken by the original function func to execute and prints the execution time before returning the result. The @monitor syntax is used to apply the monitor decorator to the my_function function. This means that whenever my_function is called it will be wrapped by the monitor function.
