Microsoft Outlook in asp.net

I have an Linkbutton on which I have shown Email ID, I want to open Microsoft Outlook on click of that link button.

The "mailto" URI Scheme ( RFC 6068 ) is for small messages. In earlier versions of Microsoft email clients, the portion after "mailto:" was limited to 128 characters. If you are sure you know what email client is installed in all the systems that it will be used in and you can confirm that the email client supports the maximum size needed, then mailto might be an easy solution. To protect the user, mailto does not allow specification of a sender ("from"); that must be done interactively by the user. It also does not do the send.

Try with anchor tag like bellow Mailto

The example given above have no relation with Outlook. The mailto: tag look for the active default mail inbox (can be Outllok, Lotus, Zmail etc) then new mail get created.
