Looking to Modernize Legacy COBOL Business App to .NET

Hello My company is looking for a company to help us modernize our legacy COBOL business application into a .NET application. We are looking to do a total rebuild. Thanks for the reply. We aren't looking for COBOL programmers. I am a COBOL programmer who's been learning C# and the .NET environemnt for the past few years. We want to rewrite our system using a modern language and windows GUI. We already went through a discovery and system documentation process with a .NET company. We have an estimate from this company but we want to have at least two other competing bids. I'm looking for recommendations for .NET consulting companies who we can get bids from. If anyone knows of a company or worked with one that can handle a project like this please let me know so that we can contact them for an estimate. Thank you. VIncent

The first thing to do is to document the existing system. Rewriting a system without documenting it is a mistake. With good documentation it is much easier to get a new system developed. Documenting the system will be much work and costly but will save in the long run.
