Keeping track of visited site

My concept is to keep track of sites visited on my computer, put them into mysql and be able to review them later.

Problem is that I am not sure how to keep track of when a new page is requested by Firefox/IE and etc. Was wondering if anyone know what I can use to make this happen as a subscribed event or something.
