Is there any future in Windows Forms Application?

Is there any future in Windows Forms Application? Because one of company offering me job as a fresher on Windows Forms Application. i'm confused what should I do? please guide me.:)

Hi...I think Windows development will remain in the market... All softwares (.exe files) are developed in windows... Now if not windows application, WPF will remain... Also, in companies, there are schedules are running....these schedulers are also developed in windows application..

If you have other offer(offer with web application) than this one then join other one not windows application one. Secondly do your mindset that you are going to work on Windows application because after joining you will get disappointment on windows application. Thirdly you can change your job to Web Application after 2 yrs. Although you will work on Windows application, just keep touch with web application so that after 2 yrs it will help you switch the job.

Hi Arvind, Firstly that completely based on your area of interest. Suppose you are more inclined to Web Application and you get offer for Windows application. Here your interest plays vital role. If you are strictly interested to Web Applicaction then do not accept the offer otherwise you can accept. Secondly every developer should have experience in both Windows as well as Web. Because you don't know in future, on which technology you are going to work. If ask future for Windows application then it is less than Web application. However if you will get an opportunity to work on WPF technology then would be good for your future.

Interviewer told me clearly you have to work on Winforms..I can work but my thinking goes towards web development, I like work on MVC or ASP.NET..can i switch after 2 years into web development after working on winforms?
