ADO.NET is not an ORM tool. It is a library and part of .NET framework. An ORM tool creates classes and objects for you for the data access layer. In ADO.NET, you will need to create it by yourself.

Can i call it as framework which made up of many classes which specially helps to connect to database and if we talk about Entty framework ....is it kind of a wrapper in ADO.NET ? where we do not need to write any commands like SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection("data source=.; database=Sample; integrated security=SSPI"); SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("Select * from tblEmplpoyee", con); con.Open(); SqlDataReader rdr = cmd.ExecuteReader(); GridView1.DataSource = rdr; GridView1.DataBind(); con.Close(); and DBContect class takes all above code responsiblities. I have one more question regarding DBContext class and DBContextOptions class what is use of DBContextOptions and what we are doing with DBContextOptions Public Class ApplicationContext : DBContect { ApplicationContext(DBContextOptions _options) : base (_option) { } }
