I need to validate all fields in my application before submitting data

Hi Team, I Have queation please find the below I need to validate all fields into my applications before submitting the data into database. Already we applied validations in my application, here what i need to do validate again before submitting the data to database Regarding that I am developing one Validation controller it will validate set of fields, and i need to map exsting methods, How can i map those methods we have diffrent exsting methods here. so how can i redirect to second time validations ,Please give me suggistions and help me. Thanks,

if you are using 1.Web Forms then use validation controls (on client side) :- thus client page got validated. In Code behind use if (Page.IsValid) { // save to database. } hence, server side validation. 2.MVC Implement data annotaions on model properties like public class User { [Required] [Display("Name")] public string Name {get;set;} } use this in client side @Html.ValidationMessageFor(x=>x.Name) @Html.DisplayFor(x=>x.Name) In server side use if (ModelState.IsValid()) { // save to db } In this way , you can double assure that your database is getting what it needs only.

Can you share the reason for validating the same thing multiple times? You can validate in 2 sections At client side (for length, empty like validations) At server side (same as above) Do let us know, if you require any further clarifications

HI Sachin, Here what i need to do validate all fields again then the data will save to DB. already we applied validations but after that also i need to validate all fields using exsting method. So that I am created one ValidateController and then how to map existing methods. what i understand here is the data is coming from controller to view then again same data need to transfer view to controller. this is i am confused how to map those method. regards,

use ModelState.Isvalid() and apply attributes like Required on Model Properties.

HI amit, The value of the username request parameter is copied into the application response. So both getting same value So i need implemented vallidations into all fields, please give me suggisions. Thanks,
