Question

i want the identity of the students to be anonymous so i have to autogenerate random usernames and password for all the students of each class with which they can login to the feedback system and give their feedback

If you see it in a way, you can always trace back the original student, isn't it? So it is not quite as anonymous as you might want to say it. Many companies say that surveys is anonomous to the employees. Employees then receive a mail with a hyperlink which is unique. When an employee clicks on the hyperlink obviously his/her identity is exposed. If you have an intranet set-up, you can send login and passwords to everyone and tell them that is okay to exchange them between themselves to login. Now you really don't know who has logged in with whose credentials. And then that becomes truly anonymous. Hope you get the point.
