How to redirect from Form to tabcontrol of a specific tabpag

help out this ! i have created four tabpages with in a tab control in Form1 ....In Form1 through third tabpage created a link to redirect to another form Form2 now i want to redirect back to the same third tabpage in Form1 from Form2 Please! give me solution

make the tab control public in form1, it is private by default. In Form2 you can call like this: Form1 f1 = new TabForm(); f1.tabControl.SelectedIndex = 2; f1.Show();

If you want to load third tab, you need to set SelectedIndex =2, 0 is the first tab.. fm.tabControl1.SelectedIndex = 2;

As you told i made from private to public ... but still it is not working as soon as the link is clicked page loaded to its default tabpage1 but only through this link click In form2 i want to redirect to form1 of tab control to tabpage4 //this one is in form2 private void linkLabel2_LinkClicked(object sender,LinkLabelLinkClickedEventArgs e) { form1 fm = new form1(); fm.tabControl1.SelectedTab=4; fm.show(); }

When you redirect from Form1 to Form2,How do you redirect? do you close Form1? Because this way will open a new Form1 with selected tab index, if you don't want, we should do other way..

When it is public, method should be displayed in intellisense menu when you type period(.) in solution explorer, there should be a file named form1.Designer.cs, in the end of file you should see something like this : private System.Windows.Forms.TabControl tabControl; //tabControl is ID, it might be different change private to public..
