How to create a web application

I have to write an application for an intranet.I am going to need help with a lot of things but for now I need to know how to create and use stylesheets with images?

Hi Nicholas Writimg web applications is now simple....as compared with older version when we don't have .Net Plateform.... anyway u need to consult some books to learn it... and also MSDN which is very useful... well if u r using Visual studio .net then creating n using stylessheet is simple.... what u have to do is to add the style sheet into ur project by right clicking ur project in project explorer and add new item... this will add style sheet to ur project .. next open this file and strat writing code as there r two things u can do in style sheets firstly u can add more functionality to existing html tags eg: .body { bgcolor=yellow; } second u can create ur own new tags mytag { font color=red,face=arial; } notice using . with existing tags...... then when ever and whereerver u want to use these tags in ur project wat u have to do is to specify the class name in the file i.e filename of stylesheet... then use the tags.... if u r not using visualstudio u can also wite the code in notepad file and save the file with .css extension.... i know its not enough to clear all ur doubts but i hope it may be somehow helpful for u to learn it.... thanks....
