How to calculate the Total on a Repeater Control

Question

Hi All, Can you please advise me how can i do the calculation of two columns and populate the Total on another Column. I am using the Repeater Control asp.net and Java Script. Please advise me how can able to achive this. the Table looks like this below: Ordinary Extra Ordinary A1 A2 A3 A1 A2 A3 First Level Permanent 1 2 3 4 5 6 Temporary 2 3 4 5 6 2 Total 3 5 7 9 11 8 Second Level Permanent 2 2 3 5 5 6 Temporary 2 4 4 5 6 2 Total 4 6 7 10 11 8 I want to achieve this using javascript or jQuery please advise me. Repeater is a server-side data representation control and it's alot more easier to do the calculations at the server since you don't have to deal with HTML and it's ids. If you are good at client side scripting, then you have to dig into the DOM elements to identify each item which could cost you alot of time. Thanks for your reply with the explanation. But why i am asking this in Javascript/jQuery is that on my requirement the user capturing the input values while the user captures i need to display the total populate on the total fields. If i can able to achieve this on the server side please advise me how can i able to do it. Hi Kumar, The TextBox control has a TextChanged event that you can use at the server-side to capture the user input and calculating the totals. But then again, you can still use JavaScript if you wish to for as long you know how to manupulate the DOM. Again, you just have to manipulate the DOM and find the exact element that you want to perform calculations.
