How to (Add button) code behind connection in Modal popup .net core

Can anyone Please explain with example how to add a record from the modal form in asp.net core through javascript.

I'm not using partial views for this case.

I'm facing problem in how to connect with javascript.

Your help is much appreciated.

No, you missed the ajax part, rest is absolutely ok. Please look at the code that i have added earlier, and use the ajax() method to send your model to controller's action.
