For article generally 3-4 Days depends upon the time taken to review, edit and get it approved. If guidelines are followed properly it can get published in 24 hrs. You can edit your article even if it is in submit mode. You must get an 'Edit' option. Or else click on 'My Account' -> Articles -> Search for the article you want to edit and click on 'Edit' icon.

Somehow I think in my article there is image paste issue. How to edit the article that is in submit mode?

For article, it takes 24 hrs to publish. Max 3 days...not more than that.
