How do I open one form and close another?

Question

Hey everybody, my title is pretty explanatory...but I'm writing a game program and each form represents a different game. I can get the program to open the second form, but for some reason when it does it brings up a blank form. What am I doing wrong? And also , I can't figure out how to open a new form and close the first.

Form's Show method is used to display a form and Close method is used to close a form. So to close the current form, try calling this.Close() but before that you can create and display new form using this code. Try something like this: MyForm frm = new MyForm(); frm.Show(); this.Close();

Hi Yes Sometimes your form may be correctlly disposed in prevoiuse close or take long time to load form design. 1. if you are using heavy loading work in form load event better to move a thread method or after form 5 second laod your object.because you have said its game program. Since its may be have rendering top graphical objects.its very expensive to momery 2.to close and open new form, i have give a common method here just copy and paste in your project and use.
