How can use both generic classes and methods in one class ?

I mean when i use a generic class in c# how can i use a generic methods too in the current class. Give explanation ,Please.

I can suggest some good links on generic classes and generic methods individually: http://www.dotnetperls.com/generic http://www.dotnetperls.com/generic-method However, I doubt whether you'll find anything on including generic methods in a generic class. In ten years of posting on .NET sites, I don't recall seeing the question asked previously and it's a relatively rare situation in any case. It's much more usual to find generic methods in a non-generic class.

Here's an example. Notice that the type parameter used by the class (T) is different to that used by the generic method (U): using System; class ObjectWrapper { public T MyObject {get; private set;} public ObjectWrapper(T myObject) { MyObject = myObject; } public bool IsSameType (U yourObject) { if (typeof(U) == typeof(T)) return true; return false; } } class Program { static void Main() { ObjectWrapper ow = new ObjectWrapper ("Joe"); if(ow.IsSameType(DateTime.Now)) { Console.WriteLine("Joe and DateTime.Now have the same type"); } else { Console.WriteLine("Joe and DateTime.Now do not have the same type"); } Console.ReadKey(); } } The output is: Joe and DateTime.Now do not have the same type

That's right, I can't remember anyone asking this particular question before even though it's a good one. This may be because in practice most C# programmers are simply consumers of the generic classes and methods in the .NET framework and other class libraries - they don't often write their own.
