That is a great question, but it lacks clarity. My question to you is the following: Do you want a textbox that searches a database as you are typing into that textbox or a textbox that you type into and then click a button to search the database? Once we have that clarification then I think we could better help you. If you are referring to the first one then I'd have to come back and lay that out but for the second one, you should just be able to place a textbox, place a button, add code to the button to search the database onClick and then write your query. Make sure you set your connection string to your database or include it in your code. Either way, please respond back if the previous answer has not already answered your question.
