How can I get total size of File in MB or KB etc... ?

Hello Everyone, I have list of items to bind listview wpf. Inside list items there is FileSize = FormatBytes(x.fsize) I want to get total size of FileSize. Well, I think that it becomes more complex to sum all the file size that contains suffix. If you want to sum all the items (FileSize column) and don't wanna modify anyof your ItemSouce then you need to add a variable and show its value long totalFileSize =0; private static string FormatBytes( long bytes) { totalFileSize += bytes string [] Suffix = { "B" , "KB" , "MB" , "GB" , "TB" }; int i; ........ } Now use this variable ae required. Furthermore, if you need to get the fileSize of checked item then you need to split your long value with suffix which is time consuming

Hey, First of all, please clarify your words " Still it showing two list. I want one list with total file size inside listview." As stated in my previous answer, to show the sum of all file size to a seperate control i.e on a label. Please elaborate so that we can do needful

For the permanent solution of this issue, try implementing something as below. First have a public enum that points to proper file size notation. public enum Sizes { B=0, KB=1, MB=2, GB=3, TB=4, PB=5, EB=6, ZB=7 } second, have method that converts bytes to appropriate formats. public static string FormatBytes( double ByteCount, int RoundDecimals) { double logVal = Math.Floor(Math.Log(ByteCount, 1024)); return $ "{Math.Round(ByteCount / Math.Pow(1024, logVal), RoundDecimals)} {(Sizes)(logVal)}" ; } And you can always call the method as you want. Hello Amit, Thank you for reply me. Actually here is showing two list items inside listview because of not happening total file size of file. So I want total size of whole files, if the Archived Name is same. This is my requirement. How can I do that? Thanks, Abhilash.J.A
