Grouping of fields

Question

Please help me in grouping say for example I have 10 products in one table & it has almost 92 parts in the other table & 92 lines of details in 3rd table.

without passing parameters from outside stored procedure for product id, I want each product to have its related part beneath it & then the corresponding line items.

finally, these results will show in Json blocks.

Hello I was testing the data but when the part number is only one & details are 1 then I am getting the correct response .But if there are two-part numbers & each part number has 4 or 5 details then I am getting the last part number repeatedly. please look into the example below : product Table : ID Product ProductDesc 3 1Z Implementation Part Table ID Product PartNumber PartNumberDesc 3 1Z 1Z-X0003G Worker management 4 1Z 1Z-X0004D eTIME Implementation Detail Table ID Product PartNumber Item ItemDesc 3 1Z 1Z-X0003G 1Z-X0003G- Party 3rd Party 4 1Z 1Z-X0003G 1Z-X0003G-Absence Absence Management 5 1Z 1Z-X0003G 1Z-X0003G-Compliance Compliance 6 1Z 1Z-X0003G 1Z-X0003G-Hourly Hourly 7 1Z 1Z-X0004D 1Z-X0004D-Accruals Accruals 8 1Z 1Z-X0004D 1Z-X0004D-Activities Activities 9 1Z 1Z-X0004D 1Z-X0004D-Additional Additional But I am not getting data in response like { product:1Z }, { Part:1Z-X0003G } { detail: all these details of 1Z-X0003G from the detail table } { Part:1Z-X0004D } { detail: all these details of 1Z-X0004D from the detail table }

Hi RK, Please try below one, Var result = from product in context.Products join parts in context.Parts on product.Id equals parts.ProductId join partDetail in context.PartDetail on partDetail.PartId equals parts.Id select new ViewDTOModel { productID = product.Id ProductName = product.Name, PartName = parts.Name, partDetail = partDetail.PartDetail }; var groupByProduct = result.grouBy(x => x.ProductId).ToList();

Hello You can try joins and Group by. First apply joins to get all the data in one temp table and then Apply group by on productid. Hope this helps.
