Getting following error in Visual Studio Professional 2017

Question

Tried to find the solution but did not find. The error is given below when i load the project in visual studio. Kindly provide any solution to this Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Before i got to know about the root cuase i tried with one of the first case given below but no use. In my case the root cuase is my profile home path is mapped to the shared drive which is recently removed and introduced to a new shared drive. When we open the existing solution it was throwing the reported error message becuase its try to read one of the config file from below path $user$/Documents/IISExpress/config folder which is not existed. Now we mapped the user profile path to the new shared folder path in Registry settings in below path then its work fine for me. HKEY_CURRENT_USER Microsoft --> Software --> Windows --> Current version --> Explorer --> User Shell Folders --> Personal

Hi The issue comes when your application is using IIS. I have a similar issue with one of the applications which is developer long back and used IIS for the local host. I have changed the settings in the application then after it working fine. Follow the Amit told steps it will resolve the issue.

Hey try these Option 1 : Use IIS Express 1.) Open you web project .csproj file as XAML or in notepad. 2.) Find these properties and set according to your preferences. UseIIS = false UseIISExpress = true Or Option 2 : Use local IIS Follow the option 1 steps but change the following properties. UseIIS = true IISUrl = https://localhost UseIISExpress = false Or Just deleted the folder named .vs in the project directory. Sometimes it worked

Hi. Try running the VS in Run as administrator mode. After that go-to your project and right click on it and go-to debug. Then create Virtual directory and it will work fine. Thanks
