Get User Details from Person or Group field using REST API

Question

I was trying to retrieve user WorkPhone from a people and group field but its throwing error saying The query to field 'Application/WorkPhone' is not valid. But I tried the same query for the MobilePhone and Email that's working fine. Please guide me where I am going wrong.

You may use the User Profile Custom properties to store user information e.g. WorkPhone, Office, Location etc. Use below REST API to get Manager for example http: //siteurl/_api/SP.UserProfiles.PeopleManager/GetUserProfilePropertyFor(accountName=@v,propertyName='Manager')?@v='i:0%23.f|membership|user@siteurl.onmicrosoft.com'

Hi Amish, You can try below: site/_api/SP.UserProfiles.PeopleManager/GetUserProfilePropertyFor(accountName=@v,propertyName='WorkPhone')?@v='i:0%23.f|membership|useremail@abc.com' it will return workphone of that perticular user. Another way is that you can access all site users using "https://siteurl/_api/Web/SiteUsers" then take account name and use below url. It will give you all the user profile properties https://siteurl/_api/SP.UserProfiles.PeopleManager/GetPropertiesFor(accountName=@v)?@v='"+account name+"'" success: function (data) { if(data.d.UserProfileProperties != undefined) { console.log( data1.d.UserProfileProperties.results) // it will display all the user profile property in result array }

@Nanddeep Nachan I dont want to pass user email or account name to fetch the information i have tried this and this works fine but this is not the requirement
