Get country code from country full name

Question

Get country code from country full name.

Example: i have an input for country name and i want to convert that country name as country code.

Country Name: India

Country Code : IN

Country Name: United States

Country Code : US

I can't help with this, this is the default behavior of intltelinput. The way it works is: if you have a NANP ( North America Numbering Plan ) country flag selected (US, Canada, Puerto Rico, etc), then we update the flag based on the first 3 digits you type (the area code) because, for these countries, that area code is actually part of the international dial code (e.g. +44) in that it does dictate which country the number is for. So +1403 is a Canadian number (or any of the other area codes in that link I sent earlier - they are all Canadian numbers), +1787 is Puerto Rico, and there are a bunch more for other countries, and then anything else defaults to America because America has by far the most of these area codes (hundreds I think), and if a user types an unrecognizable area code, it seems like an acceptable compromise to default to America. (also note that new area codes are being assigned every year, and so there's a risk of being out of date, in which case the safest bet is to default to America). https://github.com/jackocnr/intl-tel-input/issues/710

Thanks Sachin Singh, one query regarding this example which you provided, when i select canada and enter phone number than after entring 2 or 3 charector the flag change to USA automatically. any solution?

Create a new table Country in Database and store both code, name. Write a query to fetch Country name by Country code.
