Forums Redesign

Question

We're thinking to redesign forums. There are two options - We build a new Forums product or use an existing product. I'm looking for some feedback. #1. If we use an exsisting product, Have you used any forums product that is open source, scalable, and fast. #2. If we create a new product. Should we create a PWA? Or use one of the JS frameworks/libraries? React, Vue, and Mithril are in my list. Reason, we need front end only. Web API will provide all backend funnctionality. WHAT DO YOU suggest? What is your experience? Thank you!

Well, as per my opinion, the statement "look at Stack Overflow and do the same thing as they are doing" is meaningless, because here OP specifically asked for an open source project or suggestion for choosing PWA over JS frameworks. #1. If we use an existing product, Have you used any forums product that is open source, scalable, and fast. Previously, I'd worked with an open source forum project called " MVC forum ", built on top of MVC, Unity & Entity Framework 6 code first. Unfortunately, the development of that project has been discontinued though, the code is still available at GitHub repo. at: https://github.com/YodasMyDad/mvcforum It's scalable, and you can refactor code using Dapper instead of EF, which will make it a bit more faster (I believe).
