Is it an ASP.NET (.NET Framework) project or an ASP.NET Core (.NET CORE/ .NET 5 +) project? As for .NET Core projects Hosting Bundle (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/permalink/dotnetcore-current-windows-runtime-bundle-installer) must be installed on the server.
