Exception : Row Filter in data view

Question

I have an application having excel like filter and got exception while apply filter in Data View...

The filter expression length is 112253 and expression string is like (1=1 and ( strDate='03-Jun-2014 00:03' Or strDate='03-Jun-2014 04:08' Or strDate='03-Jun-2014 04:09' ..............)

The exception is:

An unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in System.Data.dll

The exception you are getting is due to StackSpace because of more filter. Please go through the second URL that i have given and you'll get to know waht happen inside.

Hi Saroj, Thanks for your comment. I have checked the reference, i also suppose that there is not limit for RowFilter but in my code as i explain above the RowFilter string length is about more than 1lakh and i got the issue... An unhandled exception of type 'System.StackOverflowException' occurred in System.Data.dll

Hi Ajay, I think there is no limit for filter.You can use as many you want. Thanks for your reply. Is there any limit of filter expression in DataView so i can check the limit if it exceeds?

Hi filter the data in database level don't use the filter on front end.
