Employees Salary Generate Hours Based

Question

The Customers Needs "Hours" based salary calculation in following type, first customer enters employees "Intime" and "outtime" and calculate hours,and finaly view the hours of employees and enter per hours salary amount and calculate total. How to write this type of calculation code in asp.net c#

Hi, first of all I will suggest you to have your table redesigned, because you are storing master and transaction data all in one table the details which belong to employee like the id, name, designation, etc. which does not change with each and every transaction need to be in a master table then create a new table which is meant for daily in & out transaction, and store data like intime, etc. in that table calculation of salary then should be simple, in the same record store total as multiplication of total hours multiplied by wages(I assume wages stores employee's hourly salary, and it should be in employee master table) that will give you salary of 1 day, at the end of month you need to display monthly salary using group by function based on employeeid and date range.

How to write this type of calculation code in asp.net c# ? I suggest you dont do such calculation in asp.net side, but do it in SQL server, reason being the performance considerations In SQL, create a calculated field which will derive the salary value based on your logic, or create a trigger which will update the salary field
