Hi, It is no difference between both strings. If you want to use the double quotes inside the string then use single quotes. Eg: If you want HTML attributes in the javascript variable you can use without using the escape slash. var textBoxHtml = ' ' ;

They both represent strings. Which ever one you start with, must be the same one you end the string with. There is really no difference in the end between using single or double quotes, meaning they both represent a string in the end. The system doesn't really care which one you use (but you might?). the only difference is use single quotes where you want double quotes to appear inside the string (e.g. for html attributes), or vice versa. No need to escape the other character within a string. So a double quoted string can have single quotes without escaping them, and a single quoted string can have double quotes within it without having to escape them. if you take some tags as string in script .Then the atributes are taken with doouble coted .So you have to take the single quoted as a whole
