Debugging Parmeters when calling a stored procedure

Question

All, I built a parameter list when calling a stored procedure. However. the system errors as if the first parm is being overwritten. The syntax used is as follows: c.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@p_Curr_Year",SqlDbType.Int,4)); c.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@p_HID",SqlDbType.Char,8)); I wish to pass an int followed by a comma and user string. Have you filled the parameters with value like this ? c.Parameters[0].Value = dtCurrentYear; I think you can see what you are passing into the stored procedure. Your error message appears if no parametres are passed. The code belows throws the same error. If you uncomment commented line it works correct cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; cmd.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@CustomerID",SqlDbType.NChar,5,"CustomerID")); // cmd.Parameters[0].Value = "ALFKI"; cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); Maybe it'll help. MoeMax, The exact error message is Procedure 'stp_getassigntreataccess' expects parameter '@p_curr_year' which was not supplied'. Is there a way to view the passed in parameters? Thanks, Ken

MoeMax, I try to build a list of two parameters the curr_year is the first parm and the next is the Hid. A catch block displays an error as if the first parm curr_year which was not supplied. Therefore, I don't know if the parm list has been built or what is included in it. Mostly all of my stored procedures on this system require input parameters. Therefore, I must pass in multiple parameters to receive output.

Hi Could you elaborate your problem..what type of errors you are recieving...sample input .. Good luck
