Create a Folder and copy files to that folder from a web page

Question

I am working on a project where our Sales Manager will go to an office, demonstrate a web page to the agent in the office. If the agent wants to follow the sales process demonstrated, the Sales Manager would then click on a link on the web page, put in his password and the web page would create a folder on the agents desktop and copy several files into that folder.

Can anyone tell me how I can create a folder on the desktop and then copy the files into that folder? Sample code would be very beneficial.

Hi I'm new to c# and asp.net. I'm currently developing a ajax enabled website in vs 2005. I would like users to be able to drive a usb device through the webpage. I managed to drive the device through the webpage when the dll is installed on the client pc. I've been looking at creating an activeX control to download the necessary files but can't seem to find out how to do it. What you describe seems to be exactly what I need. I can achieve this?

Well, there are a couple of questions here... Where will the web page be hosted? On a web server, or on the agent's machine? If the web page is on a central web sever, as is the norm, it may not be so easy to save the files on the agent's machine. If you use the system.io namespace, the web server would have to have permissions over the network to write to the agent's machine, which is not the norm. You may want to consider writing an activeX object that downloads to the agents machine and writes the file from the client, which has the proper access. A simpler option is to save the file on the server, and then redirect the web page to a page with a link to download the files. Let me know if you need further information.

use System.IO.Directory namespace for creating Folders in local system and then use file.copy() method to copy files from old folder to newly created folder.
