Convert date into Words

Question

Hello friends,

I m facing a new problem in Crystal Report .. i have date like '20-07-2012' this date is coming from Data Base but its not store in String Format . so i want to convert into string format like twenty jul two thousand twelve. hope you understand what i want.. please give me formula.. how to do it .. its urgent friends...

I can't really make it any shorter unless the date range is to be restricted in some way but, if Crystal Reports has built-in functions which can convert dates to words, then clearly Jignesh's approach is best.

Hi Naeem Khan, if your date 20-07-2012 then we can split by '-', so we can achive 20, 07, 2012... crystal report has "toword" and "monthname" function with the help of them you may find your result like toword(dd) + " " + monthname(MM) + " " + toword(yyyy) hope this will help you.
