console application - focus

Question

Hi, i have created a console application in c# (MVS 2022) and the app does not get focus so before interacting i have to click on the mouse in it. I need help so that the console application gets focus automaticaly. Thanks

You can use the SetForegroundWindow function to brings the specified window to the foreground and activates it. using System; using System.Runtime.InteropServices; class Program { [DllImport("user32.dll")] private static extern bool SetForegroundWindow(IntPtr hWnd); [DllImport("kernel32.dll")] private static extern IntPtr GetConsoleWindow(); static void Main(string[] args) { IntPtr consoleWindowHandle = GetConsoleWindow(); SetForegroundWindow(consoleWindowHandle); Console.WriteLine("Your application is now in focus!"); Console.ReadLine(); } } The above approach should work in most scenarios.

You can use the SetForegroundWindow function from the user32.dll library to bring the console window to the foreground and give it focus. you can also use the Console.Beep method to produce a beep sound when the application starts, which can help to bring attention to the console window: Console.Beep();

First of all, i want to thank everybody for the time you all spent for my question. Nevertheless none of the solutions worked. 1) The import and usage of setforeground........ did not work, i knew it because i have tried so many variations of these solutions, to no avail (nevertheless i tried it since someoone took time to provide it as a solution) 2) The console beeps but focus still is not on the console application I would appreciate if there was someone to share a solution. I forgot to mention that i am using windows 11 (so i believe the solution would also be compatibe for win 10). PFA the code i am trying to run Thank you all, Avi
