Config Manager with Reporting Service projects in Visual Studio

There is a paucity of resources for using Visual Studio for creating and deploying SSRS reports using Visual Studio. I have been using Visual Studio to create and maintain nearly 150 reports and am having difficulty with the configuration management feature. It is either very buggy or I need some training in how to use it. I end up having to use a text editor to modify the *.rptproj files and occasionally the *.sln file. Is there anyone out there with experience using Visual Studio to maintain multiple reports and deploy to multitple servers? Does anyone know where I can get some training or some advice on using Visual Studio to maintain and deploy SSRS reports?
