Question

i get this error when a checkbox is checked

using (SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand( "INSERT INTO Tracking1 VALUES(@preText, @accepted_clylinder)" , con)) { cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue( "@preText" , preText); cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue( "@accepted_clylinder" , "{'" + number.Trim() + "'}" ); con.Open(); cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); con.Close(); } There are 3 possibilities, 1. Table Tracking1 has more than 2 columns but you are supplying just 2 values. 2. You don't have an Identity column, so you need to pass the id as well, check your table definition, and make sure you have marked the primary key column as identity(Auto incremented). 3. Number.Trim() column, is varchar, so directly pass it. using (SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand( "INSERT INTO Tracking1 VALUES(@preText, @accepted_clylinder)" , con)) { cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue( "@preText" , preText); cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue( "@accepted_clylinder" , number.Trim()); con.Open(); cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); con.Close(); }
