Class objects not accessible in ASP.NET Page

Question

Hi, I have all the class.cs files in my app_code folder. How do i access the classes and their members in asp.net pages? I am not able to access some classes and their members. plzz help

hi netra, could u just check is ur class have the access moddifier public else u can not access it it would be an over sight u might left it while writing the class

hi... in app_code..example you have file like dbactions.cs file. you have: int abc: string name="jitendra"; public void get some_method() { //some code goes here } where you want use the dbactions.cs file. create an object to that. Like: dbactions dbactionsobject; in any event you can use the properties of dbactions.cs. Like: dbactionsobject.some_method(); I hope you got some idea....

Hi Sandeep, The members in the class are public only. All the class files are in app_code folder. There are no namespaces for those classes. If u can give me a sample it would help. Thanks

Class Should be public. Namespace should be same in both class. If different then use full name means namespace.classname that is app_code folder. If u add new namespace in both class then use in .aspx page Inherits="namespacename.classname" in page directive here class name is aspx.cs class. then create object of app_code folder class object in .aspx.cs page and access class properties and methods. Here Class Methods and class properties should be public then they are accessible in .aspx.cs page.
