can't references System.Data libraries

Dear codemasters Good day to you all, I have an application written in vb.net Asp.net I want to add some features but currently i am writing in C# so I add a C# web form all is working I need to add a class to app_code then I found out that I can't add System.Data and System.Data.Sqlclient please any idea on how to add these libraries. thanks

Yes. This is very interesting. Look like the c# and vb.net files not playing along in the same app_code folder. Try separate the cs file into a different folder as mentioned in the below article. Many thanks Bryian Tan, but i have done it even before seeking for other solution it didn't work for me, note that the project was originally developed in VB.NET and i am adding C# module to it, this may be the issue. Below is the picture of the reference.
