UI changes should be done using UI thread that Main thread otherwise you can not do any operation on UI. You can read about below and difference between below. 1)system.timers.timer. 2)system.windows.forms.timer. 3)system.threading.timer. Read Threading aswell

Use System.Timers.Timer instead of windows.forms.timer
