C# add(), delete(), update() Inventory Console App Help

Question

I am beginner at codeing so please explain your answers. I have this code i started for a inventory console application. i am having trouble adding add(), delete(), update(), methods to the code. I want to be able to update the stock, add and delete items for the list in the console windows.

Hi john, As Vincent told, ArrayList has inbuilt functionality for insert, remove and sorting arraylist. But only using array list you can not maintain you stokdetails you need to store it somewhere like database. i.e SQL, Oracle unsing Ado .net or Entity framework. ArrayList object has Add, Insert and Remove methods that you can use to update the items on the list. Just head over to the documentation to understand how it works. You can start here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.collections.arraylist?view=netframework-4.7.2 Now, if you want to persist the data changes on your list, then you need to make use of database to do that. You can either use ADO.NET or Entity Framework as your data access mechanism to handle Add, Edit, Update and Delete.
