Button to Open New Activity from fragment

Question

I am trying to Open a new Activity from a fragment with the following code

Button button = view.FindViewById<Button>(Resource.Id.button1);
button.Click += StartNewActivity;
void StartNewActivity(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Intent intent = new Intent(this.Activity, typeof(fragment4));
StartActivity(intent);
}

But i get the following errors

I think its better using a fragment because from your refrence, it means i will be adding the navigation to my activity again

Yes, you can use multiple activities with Navigation Drawer but you have to add the Navigation drawer to each activities layout file. Activity is like a new window whereas Fragment is like a page in a window. The code for starting an activity is correct (as enclosed in snapshot). Just make sure the class file of fragment4 is a type of Activity. However, the error shows that the activity could not be found, try to clean and rebuild the project or show your fragment4 class. Moreover, make a habit to give proper naming convention to the control else it will became too hard for maintainance and time consuming.

Works After adding { [Activity (Label = "**" )] public class ** : Activity { but it the activity overides my Nav_header and Menu how do i add them to it or do i better stil use a fragment??

What type of fragment4 is? Is it an activity or fragment.
