ASP.NET Core EF set @html as input source

Question

I don't understand why the table adds only one value and it doesn't add the second one. For the HazardClass is working fine but for HazardDetails is not Update. It seems that the problem I have is with: class = "form-control" > @Html.DisplayFor(model => model.HazardClass.IdHC) which also should be source for input var emptyHaz = new HazardDetail(); if (await TryUpdateModelAsync (emptyHaz, "hazardDetail" , s => s.IdHC, s => s.HazDetail)) { _context.HazardDetails.Add(emptyHaz); await _context.SaveChangesAsync(); return RedirectToPage( "./Index" ); } So, the question is, how do I get the @html..... to be input for IdHC?

Ok, it partially works now, I had to add one hidden input, see below class = "form-control" > @Html.DisplayFor(model => model.HazardClass.IdHC) "hidden" asp- for = "HazardDetail.IdHC" value= "@Model.HazardClass.IdHC" />

Hi, when you are adding single object you can write .Add(obj) But when you are adding list of objects you have to write .AddRange(list).

I am not sure I understand very well, please be more specific. To be clear, I have two tables, HazardClass and HazardDetail. When I add data to HazardDetail, I get the Id and Class from HazardClass and then add new HazardDetail. When I save, Id is not written in the table

Hi, onPost you have to declare the variable of HazardDetail as list list listHaz = new list (); and you have to save range of the detail like _context.HazardDetails.AddRange(listHaz);
