APSX file not showing option to create new apsx file in VS 2022

Question

i have old project which is developed in .Net Framework 4.72 VB ASPX webforms also using i Visual studio 2022. not able to create new apsx file in that project. why?

Hi Project Type : Ensure that your project is correctly set up as a Web Application project. Sometimes if the project type is different (like a Class Library) the option to add ASPX files may not be available. File Extensions : Make sure you're trying to add the file with the correct extension (.aspx). Right-click on your project in Solution Explorer select Add > New Item and then search for Web Form to create an ASPX file. Installed Workloads : Check if you have the required workloads installed in Visual Studio. Go to Tools > Get Tools and Features and ensure that the ASP.NET and web development workload is installed. Project Properties : Right-click on your project go to Properties and make sure the target framework is set to .NET Framework 4.7.2. To resolve this try the following steps: Check Project Type : Right-click on your project in Solution Explorer and select Properties. Ensure it is set as a Web Application. Add New Item : Right-click on the project or the folder where you want to add the ASPX file select Add and then choose New Item. From the dialog select Web and then Web Form. Visual Studio Updates : Ensure that your Visual Studio 2022 is updated to the latest version as updates may fix bugs related to project templates. Reinstall Templates : If the issue persists consider reinstalling the ASP.NET and web development workload in Visual Studio.
