Application is not calling Global.asax and BundleConfig.cs

Question

Dear All, I am trying to implement Bundling and minification to one of the existing .Net MVC application. However for the existing application there was no Global.asax file and App_Start (BundleConfig.cs) folder , so I have added Global.asax and BundleConfig.cs file to the soluation file. But when I put the breakpoint in the both the files its not getting invoked. So could you please let me know what mistake I am doing here ?

What I am understanding about your probelm is it's not implementing Bundling and minification, but entry points like Global.asax file and App_Start not firing. 1st of all manually adding them won't work as these files to be there along with an internal binding with asp.net mvc pipelines. So I would suggest 1. Upgrade to latest asp.net mvc through nuget. e.g. Below updating Microsoft.AspNet.WebApi.WebHost. update-Package -reinstall Microsoft.AspNet.WebApi.WebHost Sameway google for basic packages of asp.net mvc and upgrade through nuget and see. 2.
