Angular 1.x or Angular 2.0

Question

Hi Currently I am working on ASP.net MVC .C#, SQLserver now I am interested in learning new client side technologies like angular js but i am confusion which one i have to learn Angular1.x or Angular2.0 , please suggest that will clear my confusion and also most of the companies are using which one? Angular1.x or Angular 2 Thanks advance

I would suggest you to start with Angular 2.0 over the 1.x versions as Angular Library is completely re-written using Typescript and its based out of components. Angular 2 component is the combination of an HTML template and a component class that controls a portion of the screen. To start creating applications using Angular 2, first you would need to learn Typescript language. You can easily learn TypeScript with the help of your C# knowledge. You would defintely enjoy writing code in Typescript as the concepts of classes, interfaces are available (similar to C#). I have also started learning with Angular 2 directly and I'm enjoying the programming with components, modules, bindings etc. Angular 2 is much faster than 1.x versions (current version is Angular 4.0). The question itself contains the answer you said angular 2.0 it shows the latest version but the performace of the 2.0 is faster than the previous version. AngularJS 1 is still a valid choice for Javascript SPA framework. AngularJS 1 is simple and easier to understand and follow for pure Javascript developers. There are a lot more documentation and community contributions for AngularJS 1. For these reasons, AngularJS 1 is still going to be around for many more years. However, Angular 2 is a great framework to start a greenfield project. As mentioned in previous paragraphs, this second iteration of Angular promotes the best practices from AngularJS 1, and removes the ones that don’t quite work well. In short, there is no rush to migrate existing AngularJS 1 project to Angular 2, but we can look forward for Angular 2 to be the framework of choice for new projects. i prefer you to go with the Angular 2.0.
