Add / Update Record

Question

Hi Sachin I just didn't want to use Ajax that's why i changed view by using @using (Html.BeginForm("CreateEdit", "Location", FormMethod.Post)) . Atleast i didn't wanted Ajax for Edit/Update. Ajax is the only way for this. If Ajax is the only way for this can u pls guide what will be the Ajax Post. Thanks

Hi Sachin/Salman I have belwo function on btnEdit click. Suppose Id value is AA. How i can append U to Id means UAA. Then in Controller how i should remove 1st character "U" from Id & save with the remaining Value . If the objLocation contains id value then it's a edit otherwise create. Usually for create we don't have any unique id but after the record saved in db it will generate id but while editing you are using id to bind the data. So in action method you can check if id is null then it's a create otherwise edit. Thanks
