Activate textbox of form1 from form2

Question

Hello, I would like to activate textbox of form1 from form2. In form 1 I have a method and in form 2 I have a methodcall in order to activate the method in form 1. But this approach doesn't run. Originally the form 2 is the childform. Thank you for your advice.

Just you need to activate the form first, like //In Form2 Form1 frm; // taking reference of form1 while calling form2 public void focusForm1 () { frm.Activate (); frm.txtBox1.Focus (); access modifier must be set to public in its properties } Hope this helps

I have done it like you described. Doesn't happen anything. I think its not possible to pass any data between the forms. So its not possible to pass a command (for example to activate a control form form 2 towards form 1.) No commands can be transferred, if you understand what I mean.
