Hi all

i am thinking to develop a software for powerpoint , in which slides can be changed through program , for example i opened my power point and slide show is running on it , how i can change slide up and down through a porgram , if i run that program at the instant of time when slide is running , plz give a detailed solution .

Here's some basic code to get you started. Create a new Windows Forms project and add three buttons to it: btnLauch, btnNext and btnPrevious. Set the Enabled property of the last two buttons to false. Set the Form's Topmost property to two. You'll need to make the following changes: 1. Add a textbox to your application (textBox1 say) so the user can enter the word (s)he wants to use to launch Powerpoint and precede it with a suitable label. 2. You'll also need to add another button (btnSave say) and add a Click handler for it, so the user can save the word typed in. 3. btnLaunch's Enabled property should now be set initially to false as you'll need to wait for the word to be typed in before accepting any manual or voice commands. 4. Did you remember to add the three button click eventhandler skeletons from the VS designer? If you didn't then the events won't be wired up to the handlers. It might be easier to start again with a new project. Don't just copy my code blindly but slot it into the form template which is generated for you.

The important thing is to change the Name properties of the buttons (not the Text property) to btnLaunch, btnNext and btnPrevious otherwise they will have their default names of button1, button2 and button3 and the code I gave you will not compile. You can set their Text properties to anything you like. Launch, Next and Previous was just a suggestion.

It is againn showing errors , what i did let , i first created a windows from project , then added 3 buttons to it , by clicking on them i change there text to btnNExt , btnPrevious, btnLaunch , also i make enabled property of btnNext and btnPrevious to false , then i click on button and set its topmost property to true , next i click on double click on form this open code for my form 1 , i added the above code here , and with this the above code was also added in buttons also, but after this it is not running it is showing same 3 error as before , what should i do plz see if there is problem in my approach,

In the Visual Studio Windows Forms designer, place three buttons on the form from the toolbox, change their names to btnLaunch, btnNext and btnPrevious and their Text properties to (say) : Launch, Next and Previous. Now double click on each of the buttons in turn which will generate a Click eventhandler for them. Next, click anywhere on the form and change its Topmost property to True in the Properties Box. Then switch to events in the Properties Box for the form (lightning bolt symbol), select the FormClosed event and double click it to open up a skeleton eventhandler. Finally, add the code in my last post in the appropriate places in the form, build and run. Incidentally, I wouldn't call your program Powerpoint - I'd call it something else such as PowerpointController to distinguish it from the Microsoft executable.
