Question

Hi, If i will enter student roll no in text box,immediately i want to display the student details without using submit button.can anyone please tell me... Regards, Saritha

Its not Javascript ....its Ajax Follow the below link for that http://www.asp.net/ajaxLibrary/AjaxControlToolkitSampleSite/AutoComplete/AutoComplete.aspx and to work with ajax in your aspx page addthe below tag in second or third line of your .aspx source page and also you have to add AjaxControlToolkit dll in your Solution Explorer References section

Yes,the better solution for this problem...You can use Ajax Autocomplete exteder.you have to generate a web service and write select query for displaying the student details in that query.then you will get the output without pressing anything..

Yes...I tried..but i don't want that one also...simply i entered hall ticket no...without pressing anything ...i want to display....

That one also i tried...but i don't want that...suppose student have 10 digit hall ticket number..if i will enter that hall ticket number without pressing any button and enter i want to display the student details...

Did u set the AutoPostBack Property of the textbox To True??set it to true..... and after u place the cursor out side of the textbox(op pressing enter) only u'll get the output

Yes,You should write the logic under Textbox TextChanged Event,then without clicking the button only you will get the output,....
