Finally, we got to see what’s coming down the C# 4.0 pipe. Mads Torgersen, C# Language PM has published this great paper on the New features in C# 4.0. This paper explains following new features

2. Named and optional parameters
3. COM specific interop features
4. Variance
5. Covariance


Yes, it’s too early to start betting on these features as things might evolve / change in the final 4.0 release. It’s definitely worth reading and understanding how C# is evolving and will look in version 4.0 which is planned for 2010 / 11 release
