Custom Security Role Is Not Available While Sharing App

Requirement

Sharing custom model driven app with user using specific security role.

Details

Let's say we have created a new security role called HIMBAP QA in our model driven app and we want to share our custom model driven with user with this security role assigned. So let's try that.

Step 1

Navigate to https://make.powerapps.com/, select your environment -> app -> Share

Step 2

Select user and try to share app using new security role

You will notice that security role is not available under the drop-down. To bring your security role under this list first you have to share your app with that security role using below steps

After that try again step 2 and now you should be able to see new security role listed while sharing app with that user.

Summary

In order to use new security role while sharing app with the user, first we need to add our new security role to the app.
