“Cannot connect to the configuration database” in SharePoint 2010

While I was trying to access Central Administration in SharePoint 2010 server I was getting the following error. SQL Server (SPSQLServer) service might be stopped which might be one of the reason for getting this error.

Error: “Cannot connect to the configuration database”

How to resolve:

• Open Run and type services.msc
• Start SQL Server (SPSQLServer) service.
• Now you try opening the Central Administration, you will be able to access successfully.
