Follow the below steps for the sign-in process in Microsoft Power BI Desktop.
Step 1. Click on the Power BI exe to open the Power BI desktop tool, the below window will display, and click on the sign-in button for further processes.

Step 2. Once you click on the Sign-in button, a new window will pop up where the user has to enter the email id.
Pre-requisites
- The user has to enter the work email ID; another email ID; i.e. (Yahoo, Hotmail, or Gmail) will not be accepted.
- If any user doesn’t have a work email ID, then click on the Need a Power BI account link to create a new account.

Step 3. If a user tries to Sign up with a personal email ID as shown below.

then they will get the below error message.

Step 4. To create a new account follow the below steps.
- Open Google and write in the search text box:

- Open the below link.
- Once the user clicks on the link the below form will open and they need to fill in all the mandatory details as shown below and click on the next button.

Step 5. Once the user clicks on the next button from the above window, the below screen will be displayed, and enter all the mandatory information. A new user ID will be created with .onmicrosft.com account,

Step 6. Once the account is created the below screen will be displayed. So the user has to enter a valid phone number and select the option (Text me, Call me) as per his choice.

Step 7. On clicking Text Me, the user will get a notification on mobile with the unique code. The user has to enter the valid unique code as show in the below screen.

Step 8. Click on Ready to Go to sign in to the Power BI desktop tool.

Step 9. Once the user's phone number is authenticated, the successful account is created and finally, it is ready to Sign in to Power BI.

Step 10. Finally, the application will start once the user clicks on the START link.

Step 11. Now the user is finally signed in with an authenticated email ID and he can start working on it.
